The Super Supervisor: The Laws for all SLP supervision

January 16, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

I’m a supervisor, now what do I do?  What can my SLPA/CF/Student intern do and stay within their scope of practice under my supervision? What are my responsibilities as a supervisor?  These are a few of the many questions that SLPs have after taking on the responsibility as a supervisor in our field.  This course will provide answers to all those questions and more.  ASHA and the state of Arizona guidelines and regulations for supervision for SLPAs, CFs and student interns will be covered.  You will leave the course with a clear understanding of the SLPs role with supervision as well as resources and ideas for managing all the responsibilities.

Presenter: Tiffany Surman, CCC-SLP  – Tiffany Surman is a Speech Language Pathologist that has been employed with Therapy Rehabilitation Services for 11 years in school and medical-based settings.  She obtained her master’s degree at Kansas State University.  Tiffany’s experience as a SLP has ranged from preschool to the geriatric population.  Her experience has been primarily in the school settings and most recently servicing the medically fragile and Autism population.

Course will be in the Health Careers Building-Auditorium. Sign in will be from 5:30-6:00pm.

Course is open to all licensed therapists at no charge & dinner will be served!
