The course will cover some basics for AAC and focus on implementation strategies for use of AAC in the classroom, community, and home setting.

Tiffany Surman has been a Speech Language Pathologist going on 16 years. The majority of her career has been spent in the public schools serving self-contained classrooms, medically complex students, Autism, other diagnoses as well as typical speech and language intervention for pre-k through high school students. She also has experience in the clinical setting with an emphasis on swallowing and cognitive therapy. Tiffany was recently given an opportunity to pioneer and pilot an Augmentative and Alternative Communication program at Children’s Rehabilitative Service (CRS). The last two years she has specialized in AAC.
