Assistive Technology for Communication and Access

A Presentation on Assistive Technology for the low incidence population

Come and explore a variety of Augmentative Communication tools and strategies that you can use with your school age clients today!  Learn how you can meet the needs of your clients who have limited functional communication with or without motor limitations.  Low tech through high tech tools and strategies will be discussed with examples of current technology available.  The first hour will cover strategies and tools for language delays and the second hour will cover motor access and tools.

Presenters:

Assistive Technology Specialists Jolene Madden, M.Ed., CCC-SLP and Barbara Hendrickson, OTR/L, have worked as a team to evaluate persons needing augmentative devices  and services in a large school district.  They also train teams and families in how to implement augmentative communication devices effectively.

RSVP required, seats are limited.

Registration begins at 5:30 pm, course will begin promptly at 6:00 pm
