Is the Sedentary Life the New Smoking? Spine Ailments and Conservative Treatment Options to Get Your Patients Moving Again

The conference will address cutting-edge medical technology and physical therapy evidence-based practice and treatments for back ailments to help restore patients’ function and quality of life.

Presenters:

Timothy Sanford, M.D., FAAPMR

Dr. Sanford is a board certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician and is fellowship trained in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine.  He is a member of the North American Spine Society Coverage Committee, and is currently in the process of writing a chapter on “Diagnostic Procedures in Spine Care” for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.  He specializes in the non-surgical management of spine injuries (back and neck pain), sports injuries, arthritis, and other injuries to the (neuro) musculoskeletal system.

Scott Moynahan, PT

Scott received his physical therapy degree from the University of Hartford in 1998.  He has worked in numerous segments of physical therapy including home health, aquatic therapy, orthopedic outpatient, hospital, sub-acute and long term care units focusing on spine rehabilitation from early on.  He was a clinic director for 12 years where he specialized in spine rehab. He has worked as a contract therapist for Therapy Rehabilitation Services for the last 5 years and has a passion to assist clients to improve their lives through education, prevention and treatment.
