This presentation will cover how to streamline and simplify the role of the school based Speech Pathologist while maintaining best practice in the process. Topics will include:
- Use of technology to streamline workload and use in therapy
- Progress monitoring in the real world
- Collecting information to write good present levels and how that writes the rest of the IEP
- Why Evidence Based Practice is important
- Curriculum and strategies to work with mixed level groups
Presenters:
Lisa Kathman, M.S., CCC-SLP, has been an SLP for 19 years. For the past 6 years she has worked as the Lead SLP for Mesa Public Schools K-12. She has mentored graduate students, CF-SLPs and supports all the SLPs in the school district with training and development of materials. She has been a guest speaker at ASU and is the co-founder of SLP Toolkit, a new app to streamline therapy and evaluation documentation.
Sarah Bevier, M.S., CCC-SLP, has worked in the field for nine years including roles as a Speech Patholgy Assistant, Speech Pathology Tech, guest speaker at ASU and graduate student mentor. She is the co-founder of SLP Toolkit.
